She Gets the Oscar for the Night!

That is what the doctor said after he finished stitching AC up last night. Poor little thing! Last night we went up to Grandma and Grandpa's and had a great night hanging out with the family. We celebrated some birthdays and of course had cake and ice cream. As everyone knows sugar and sleep deprivation do not make a great mix in toddlers. At the end of the night AC was running around and tripped and fell on the tile floor and split her chin open. So we had the fun night of going to the emergency room. AC handled it really great and thankfully Little E slept through pretty much the whole event. The husband held AC since I definitely could not watch and she was so good and stayed still while the doctor worked. She let out a whimper or two but acted very brave. Three stitches later AC popped up and said, "All Done." So the nurse loaded her up with stickers and at about 11:30 pm we were leaving the ER. Today she is running around like normal except of course for the over-tired meltdowns. She has been pretty spoiled today with some movies and special treats so that has definitely helped. I think the whole event was probably more traumatizing for the parents then for the little one.

We will spare you the picture of the stitches.

What a brave little girl you have! We've been pretty lucky here--no stitches--knock on wood... Hope she's feeling better!

Aw, she did need stitches after all, poor thing. We had a great time with you guys, sorry it ended on such a bad note. I'm impressed that you got out of the ER by 11:30! We'll have to finish HSM3 another time... I know SC is dying to see how it ends!

Sorry AC!!!! It sounds like she won over the hearts of everyone in the ER, though. She is a tough girl . . . just like her Mom!
